Welcome to the...
Westside Project Area Council

The WPAC is designed to provide private citizens advice and support on
matters relating to infrastructure projects as well as general living conditions pertaining to the Westside. This public body acts as a conduit between citizens and the City of Long Beach. Any concerns you may have regarding your neighborhood, once it is on the Agenda, can be aired at the PAC's General Meeting and relayed to the approriate department for appropriate action. And if you are not on the agenda but wish to speak, there is a Public Forum at each General Meeting where you are invited to share your opinions and concerns. WPAC serves as mediator between you and the City, and works to carry out specific project activities in accordance with California Law.

The Westside Project Area Council holds two regular meetings each month- a General Meeting and a meeting of the Steering Committee. To make a presentation, you have to be officially set on the Agenda for a General Meeting. To do this, you would contact us to discuss your presentation. You would then be invited to attend the next Steering Committee Meeting where you would make a brief presentation to the PAC. Upon their approval, you would be asked to make your entire presentation at the next General Meeting. The General Meeting, which is open to the public, is held on the second Wednesday of every month. The Steering Committee Meeting, which is for PAC members and those invited to discuss their proposal for agenda consideration, is held on the last Tuesday of the month.
